17  And the sight of the glory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

  31  He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.

  7  Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, I will ^amelt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?

  23  And it came to pass that Nephi and Lehi were encircled about as if by fire, even insomuch that they durst not lay their hands upon them for fear lest they should be burned. Nevertheless, Nephi and Lehi were not burned; and they were as standing in the midst of fire and were not burned.

  7  But they reside in the presence of God, on a globe ^clike a sea of glass and fire, where all things for their glory are manifest, past, present, and future, and are continually before the Lord.

  2  I saw the transcendent beauty of the gate through which the heirs of that kingdom will enter, which was ^clike unto circling flames of fire;

  38  Then the ^afire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

  15  For, behold, the Lord will come with ^afire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

  7  Therefore shall all hands be faint, every man's heart shall ^amelt;

  19  For a desolating scourge shall go forth among the inhabitants of the earth, and shall continue to be poured out from time to time, if they repent not, until the earth is empty, and the inhabitants thereof are consumed away and utterly destroyed by the brightness of my ^ecoming.

  12  And again, verily, verily, I say unto you, and it hath gone forth in a firm decree, by the will of the Father, that mine apostles, the Twelve which were with me in my ministry at Jerusalem, shall stand at my right hand at the day of my coming in a pillar of ^bfire, being clothed with robes of righteousness, with crowns upon their heads, in glory even as I am, to judge the whole house of Israel, even as many as have loved me and kept my commandments, and none else.
