18  Yea, when they had made them a ^amolten calf, and said, This is thy God that brought thee up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations;

  19  They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the ^amolten image.

  84  And with my servant Almon Babbitt, there are many things with which I am not pleased; behold, he aspireth to establish his counsel instead of the counsel which I have ordained, even that of the Presidency of my Church; and he setteth up a ^agolden calf for the worship of my people.

  53  But behold, the devil hath deceived me; for he appeared unto me in the form of an angel, and said unto me: Go and reclaim this people, for they have all gone astray after an unknown God. And he said unto me: There is no God; yea, and he taught me that which I should say. And I have taught his words; and I taught them because they were pleasing unto the carnal mind; and I taught them, even until I had much success, insomuch that I verily believed that they were true; and for this cause I withstood the truth, even until I have brought this great curse upon me.

  23  Ye shall not make with me ^bgods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.

  41  And they made a ^acalf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands.

  23  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an ^bimage made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
