24  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall ^edeceive the very elect.

  20  And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he ^cdeceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

  21  And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well—and thus the devil ^dcheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell.

  14  And again, I will give unto you a pattern in all things, that ye may not be deceived; for Satan is abroad in the land, and he goeth forth ^adeceiving the nations—
