17  And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall ^creign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.

  33  When thy people Israel be smitten down before the enemy, because they have ^bsinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication unto thee in this house:

  13  Yea, and moreover I say unto you, that if this highly favored people of the Lord should fall into transgression, and become a wicked and an adulterous people, that the Lord will deliver them up, that thereby they become weak like unto their brethren; and he will no more ^cpreserve them by his matchless and marvelous power, as he has hitherto preserved our fathers.

  10  I, the Lord, am bound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no promise.
