44  For every tree is known by his own ^afruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

  36  But verily I say unto you, that I, the Lord, will contend with Zion, and plead with her strong ones, and ^bchasten her until she overcomes and is clean before me.

  26  But if she observe not to do whatsoever I have commanded her, I will visit her ^caccording to all her works, with sore affliction, with pestilence, with plague, with sword, with vengeance, with devouring fire.
