16  Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the apride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the Lord.

33  Behold, the Lord, the Lord of Hosts shall lop the bough with terror; and the ahigh ones of stature shall be hewn down; and the haughty shall be humbled.

12  And it was because of the apride of their hearts, because of their exceeding riches, yea, it was because of their oppression to the poor, withholding their food from the hungry, withholding their clothing from the naked, and smiting their humble brethren upon the cheek, making a mock of that which was sacred, denying the spirit of prophecy and of revelation, murdering, plundering, lying, stealing, committing adultery, rising up in great contentions, and deserting away into the land of Nephi, among the Lamanites—

42  He that aexalteth himself shall be abased, and he that abaseth himself shall be exalted.
