9  Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will ^bincrease in learning.

  12  Apply thine heart unto ^ainstruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.

  78  Teach ye diligently and my grace shall attend you, that you may be ^binstructed more perfectly in theory, in principle, in doctrine, in the law of the gospel, in all things that pertain unto the kingdom of God, that are expedient for you to understand;

  15  And set in order the churches, and study and learn, and become acquainted with all good books, and with languages, tongues, and people.

  53  And, verily I say unto you, that it is my will that you should hasten to translate my scriptures, and to ^cobtain a knowledge of history, and of countries, and of kingdoms, of laws of God and man, and all this for the salvation of Zion. Amen.

  4  And again, you shall be ordained to assist my servant Oliver Cowdery to do the work of printing, and of selecting and writing ^abooks for schools in this church, that little children also may receive instruction before me as is pleasing unto me.

  3  Behold, I say unto you, concerning the school in Zion, I, the Lord, am well pleased that there should be a ^aschool in Zion, and also with my servant Parley P. Pratt, for he abideth in me.

  7  And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best ^abooks words of wisdom, seek learning even by study and also by faith;

  14  And do thou grant, Holy Father, that all those who shall worship in this house may be taught words of wisdom out of the best ^abooks, and that they may seek learning even by study, and also by faith, as thou hast said;
