3  The ^apride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

  11  For whosoever exalteth himself shall be ^babased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

  33  Behold, the Lord, the Lord of Hosts shall lop the bough with terror; and the ^ahigh ones of stature shall be hewn down; and the haughty shall be humbled.

  12  And it was because of the ^apride of their hearts, because of their exceeding riches, yea, it was because of their oppression to the poor, withholding their food from the hungry, withholding their clothing from the naked, and smiting their humble brethren upon the cheek, making a mock of that which was sacred, denying the spirit of prophecy and of revelation, murdering, plundering, lying, stealing, committing adultery, rising up in great contentions, and deserting away into the land of Nephi, among the Lamanites—

  14  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that ^bhumbleth himself shall be exalted.

  10  And again, verily I say unto you that it is your privilege, and a promise I give unto you that have been ordained unto this ministry, that inasmuch as you strip yourselves from jealousies and fears, and humble yourselves before me, for ye are not sufficiently humble, the veil shall be rent and you shall see me and know that I am—not with the carnal neither natural mind, but with the spiritual.

  82  And inasmuch as ye are ^ahumble and faithful and call upon my name, behold, I will give you the victory.

  114  Let him therefore ^aabase himself that he may be exalted. Even so. Amen.
