4  And the days of ^aAdam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:

  1  And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare ^aCain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.

  16  And Adam and Eve, his wife, ceased not to call upon God. And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bare Cain, and said: I have gotten a man from the Lord; wherefore he may not reject his words. But behold, Cain hearkened not, saying: Who is the Lord that I should know him?

  39  And our glorious Mother Eve, with many of her faithful ^cdaughters who had lived through the ages and worshiped the true and living God.

  1  And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, ^aBe fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

  28  And I, God, blessed them, and said unto them: Be fruitful, and ^bmultiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
