24  God is a ^bSpirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

  2  Q. What are we to understand by the four beasts, spoken of in the same verse?

A. They are figurative expressions, used by the Revelator, John, in describing heaven, the paradise of God, the happiness of man, and of beasts, and of creeping things, and of the fowls of the air; that which is spiritual being in the likeness of that which is temporal; and that which is temporal in the likeness of that which is spiritual; the ^espirit of man in the likeness of his person, as also the spirit of the beast, and every other creature which God has created.

  7  And the Gods formed man from the dust of the ground, and took his ^cspirit (that is, the man's spirit), and put it into him; and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

  17  Their sleeping dust was to be restored unto its perfect frame, bone to his bone, and the sinews and the flesh upon them, the ^espirit and the body to be united never again to be divided, that they might receive a fulness of joy.

  7  And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the ^dbreath of life; and man became a living soul.

  26  For the atonement satisfieth the demands of his justice upon all those who have not the law given to them, that they are delivered from that awful monster, death and hell, and the devil, and the lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment; and they are restored to that God who gave them ^gbreath, which is the Holy One of Israel.
