21  And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of ^cAdam.

  21  And again, the voice of God in the chamber of old Father Whitmer, in Fayette, Seneca county, and at sundry times, and in divers places through all the travels and tribulations of this Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! And the voice of Michael, the archangel; the voice of Gabriel, and of Raphael, and of divers angels, from Michael or ^dAdam down to the present time, all declaring their dispensation, their rights, their keys, their honors, their majesty and glory, and the power of their priesthood; giving line upon line, precept upon precept; here a little, and there a little; giving us consolation by holding forth that which is to come, confirming our hope!

  3  And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty ^bappeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,

  21  And the Lord ^aappeared again in Shiloh: for the Lord revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the Lord.

  15  And never have I ^ashowed myself unto man whom I have created, for never has man believed in me as thou hast. Seest thou that ye are created after mine own image? Yea, even all men were created in the beginning after mine own image.

  16  Who hath appointed Michael your prince, and established his feet, and set him upon high, and given unto him the keys of salvation under the counsel and direction of the ^bHoly One, who is without beginning of days or end of life.

  6  But I, Abraham, and Lot, my brother's son, prayed unto the Lord, and the Lord ^aappeared unto me, and said unto me: Arise, and take Lot with thee; for I have purposed to take thee away out of Haran, and to make of thee a minister to bear my name in a strange land which I will give unto thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession, when they hearken to my voice.

  19  And the Lord ^aappeared unto me in answer to my prayers, and said unto me: Unto thy seed will I give this land.
