2  And know ye this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the ^achastisement of the Lord your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,

  1  Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you whom I love, and whom I love I also chasten that their sins may be forgiven, for with the ^cchastisement I prepare a way for their deliverance in all things out of temptation, and I have loved you—

  8  Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
