1  Therefore thou shalt ^alove the Lord thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.

  4  And also that they might give thanks to the Lord their God, who had brought them out of the land of Jerusalem, and who had delivered them out of the hands of their enemies, and had appointed just men to be their teachers, and also a just man to be their king, who had established peace in the land of Zarahemla, and who had taught them to keep the commandments of God, that they might rejoice and be filled with love towards God and all men.

  32  Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and ^dlove God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.

  5  Wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, saying thus: Thou shalt ^alove the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy might, mind, and strength; and in the name of Jesus Christ thou shalt serve him.

  33  And unto thy brethren have I said, and also given commandment, that they should love one another, and that they should choose me, their Father; but behold, they are without affection, and they hate their own blood;

  13  Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and ^bserve him, and shalt swear by his name.

  2  Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye ^bserve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day.

  2  My soul thirsteth for God, for the ^bliving God: when shall I come and appear before God?

  26  I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the ^aliving God, and steadfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.

  9  For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the ^bliving and true God;

  13  And behold, he preached the word unto your fathers, and a mighty change was also wrought in their hearts, and they humbled themselves and put their trust in the true and ^cliving God. And behold, they were faithful until the end; therefore they were saved.

  6  But behold, I trust that ye are not in a state of so much unbelief as were your brethren; I trust that ye are not lifted up in the pride of your hearts; yea, I trust that ye have not set your hearts upon riches and the vain things of the world; yea, I trust that you do not worship idols, but that ye do worship the true and the living God, and that ye look forward for the remission of your sins, with an everlasting faith, which is to come.

  9  Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of the ^cliving God, who created the heavens and the earth, a light which cannot be hid in darkness;

  14  Ye shall not go after other ^bgods, of the gods of the people which are round about you;

  26  But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a ^aman.
